The Town of Oakland
The Mayberry-like quaint Town of Oakland consists of about 2500 residents
and lies between two huge lakes, Lake Apopka on the North and John's Lake (Chain of Lakes) on the South. It is bordered by Winter Garden on the East and Clermont on the West and lies just within the Border of Orange County. There has been major growth since the year 2000 and many new buildings, offices, and of course new homes and communities. 
The Town of Oakland's Largest Community is John's Landing which has
approximately 276 homesites and consists of about 1/2 of the residents of Oakland. Johns Landing's residents supply a strong source for much of the Town's Revenues.
