CITY OF KISSIMMEE ATHLETICS DIVISION SEEKS QUALIFIED OFFICIALS FOR SOCCER & MODIFIED FAST-PITCH SOFTBALL
The City of Kissimmee Athletics Division is seeking qualified officials for soccer and modified fast-pitch softball. The rate of pay is between $18 - $40 dollars/per game, depending on qualifications.
The soccer league games will take place at the Thacker fields on Sundays, beginning on March 8. The modified fast-pitch league will take place at the Denn John ball fields beginning on February 14.

CITY OF KISSIMMEE ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF SUNSHINE REGIONAL CHILI COOK-OFF
The City of Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department is announcing the winners of the 13th annual Sunshine Regional Chili Cook-Off, which took place on Saturday, January 19 at Kissimmee Lakefront Park.
This event is sanctioned by the International Chili Society (ICS). More than 30 competitors squared off and the Kissimmee winner advances to the World Finals to compete for a grand prize of $25,000.
The winners are as follows:
Best Booth: Pirate's Cove Chili People's Choice: Fire in the Bowl Chili
Salsa: 3rd Place: Don Stuewe - Blazin' Chili Guys 2nd Place: Gene Morelli 1st Place: Tom Hoover - Happy Trails Chili
Verde: 3rd Place: Rhone Carr - Rhone Rangers 2nd Place: Ron Dahlgren - Big Dawgs Swamp Rat Chili 1st Place: Tom Hoover - Happy Trails Chili
ICS Chili: 6th Place: David Lorenz - Duffy's Irish Chili 5th Place: Ethan Swartz - Sannie's Backdoor Blowout Chili 4th Place: Larry Hines - Big Belly Chili 3rd Place: Sue Sprouse - Tropical Spice 2nd Place: Ray Frederick - Tiger's Bite Chili 1st Place: Gene Morelli
The festival also featured musical entertainment from Kevin Maines and The Bounty Hunter Band.
